- # Suites: 4 ORs and 6 procedure rooms
- Average # of cases per day: 46
- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, ACLS, PALS, CNOR preferred but no required
- Common Cases: Eyes, ortho, gender reassignment surgeries (top surgery) ent (tonsils, septoplasty, sinus) general (hernia, thyroidectomy, resections, lap chole), excisions of masses, port placement.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be comfortable with ortho, total joints, spine, general/laparoscopic cases. eye experience is helpful but not required.
- Scrubbing required - RN's: No, scrubbing is a plus but not required
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes - charge nurse
- OR techs: Yes- surgical techs
- EMR: Meditech
- Shifts & Scheduling: Would prefer 12s, can accommodate 10s. start at 0700.
- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1 night per week, 5p-7a
- Weekend/Call Requirements: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks Saturday 0700-Mon 0700
- Holiday/Call Requirements: Could be asked to help with call on holidays
- What is call response time?: 1 hour
- Floating Requirements: Just between ORs, no floating outside of OR
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs,
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 5-7 days
- Additional Notes: Attendance and punctuality are very important, team work is very important, fast paced environment- quick turnover for cases, very physician friendly- important part of the culture.
