IOP Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for an outpatient lab in Madison, Alabama. The role involves collecting patient blood specimens, processing samples, performing data entry, and providing customer service. Monday-Thursday schedule, 8am-5pm with one-hour lunch.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol screening
- Enter patient information accurately and maintain specimen logs
- Process billing information and collect patient payments as necessary
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and provide customer service
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience or current certification
- Proven exceptional customer service track record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass color blindness screening test
- Reliable transportation and COVID-19 vaccination
