Business Data Analyst III

Overview The Business Data Analyst III – Regulatory Reporting plays a key role in supporting CCAR Y‑14M/Q reporting processes. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of regulatory submissions through end-to-end ownership of schedule production within a complex, multi-source data environment. The analyst partners with Business Units, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Data Governance teams to manage data sourcing, support system conversions, and address regulatory change initiatives. The ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate working sessions, and communicate complex data issues clearly is essential to drive alignment and timely resolution. Responsibilities CCAR Y14 M&Q Reporting: Prepare and submit CCAR Y14 M/Q reports in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues in the financial data. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the CCAR Y14 M&Q reporting process. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including business units, risk, finance, technology, and governance teams, internal and external auditors and exam groups including bank regulators and internal audit. Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with regulatory changes and updates related to CCAR reporting requirements and ensure adherence to regulations. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to automate, increase efficiency, and improve controls with software and process enhancements. Additional duties as assigned related to regulatory reporting and data management. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical and business problems. Experience with SAS/SQL for data research, extraction, and analysis. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure and influence stakeholders. Knowledge of CCAR processes and FR Y‑14 reporting; ability to communicate regulatory impacts clearly. Experience with data sourcing, system enhancements, and governance, with a focus on data lineage and audit readiness. Understanding of industry regulatory factors and ability to translate regulatory guidance into actionable reporting solutions. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or MBA and 10 years of related experience. Previous experience in the banking industry.
