Job Title: Punch Press Operator
Location: Kearny NJ 07032
Duration: Direct Hire
Shift:
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate punch press equipment to produce metal components
- Load and unload sheet metal and raw materials
- Follow work orders, production specifications, and job instructions
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and part specifications
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts for dimensions, quality, and consistency
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Identify and report equipment or quality issues
- Perform basic machine troubleshooting and adjustments
- Maintain accurate production records
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
- Work closely with production and Quality teams to meet output and quality expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous punch press or metal fabrication experience preferred
- Experience operating manufacturing or production machinery
- Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
