Position Overview
Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join a respected healthcare organization in Los Alamos, New Mexico . In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable transition from the operating room to recovery.
As a valued member of the perioperative team, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow healthcare professionals to monitor patient recovery, manage post-operative care, and promote positive patient outcomes. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $65,000 – $75,000 annually and the chance to grow your career in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Experience caring for patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures.
Knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery protocols and pain management practices.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
