Responsibilities

Interprets and applies established HR policies ensuring compliance with Federal and State employment laws

Assist in maintaining and promoting a safe and healthy environment for employees

Ensure HR processes and procedures are consistently administered

Maintain HR database ensuring the accuracy of data and compiling of HR reports

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports

Keep abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to HR

Support hourly recruitment efforts including reviewing job descriptions, placing job postings on applicable recruitment platforms, participate in interviews, evaluating applicant skills, and making recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications and skills

Develop and maintain relationships with universities and other recruitment sources

Participate and work collaboratively with the training team in the development and execution of new employee orientation programs and procedures for new hires

Track applicants and complete quarterly statistical information regarding new hires and the onboarding process

Participate in planning and execution of employee engagement events and activities

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1 year of progressive HR, Business or similar studies or experience preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and commitment to confidentiality.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities.

Self-directed and motivated.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Ability to work with a diverse population.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
