Physician Location 3828 W. Taylor, Chicago, IL 60624 Responsibilities Supervise medical services and general health care of clients at the Center; provide medical expertise in developing new or revised treatment techniques and procedures; ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards; review policies and procedures; develop goals to improve client medical care and program quality. Oversee services from registered nurses or other licensed staff, ensuring treatment appropriateness; review documentation to meet medical record guidelines. Act as attending physician for clients admitted, review admission records and discharge plans, authorize treatment or refer to hospitals; provide on‑site medical clinic services according to schedule; collaborate with clinical leadership to resolve treatment issues. Develop and provide training on general medical issues and updates related to addictions or substance abuse treatment for clinical staff; participate in performance improvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned, including ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests, evaluating data, traveling for reviews, audits, advisory committee meetings. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and residency in primary specialty; minimum 5 years experience in related field. Current Illinois medical license and board certification; established privileges at local hospitals. Certification or eligibility with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) for addiction medicine practitioner. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; ability to develop relationships with staff, managers, and agency representatives; familiarity with medical standards for substance abuse treatment. Ability to collect and analyze data, design complex programs, evaluate effectiveness of treatments, and interpret client data to provide appropriate care. Compensation Salary range: $133,253 – $186,873 (based on experience and credentials). Annual performance reviews and merit increases.
