Mygrant Glass Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and team members in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across inventory management, shipping and receiving, safety compliance, employee development, and overall warehouse efficiency. Warehouse Manager (Batavia)

Exempt

Reports To: Associate Vice President of Mygrant Services 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing warehouse employees to meet the department productivity, quality, service, and financial goals. They will be responsible to accurately schedule employees and shifts with safety, productivity, and team player in mind.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Ensure and oversee all compliance with, and training on, all company policies, including federal, state and local regulations. 
• Meet current department/warehouse goals and profitably grow by maximizing warehouse efficiencies.
• Manage and supervise employees performing daily warehouse functions to ensure efficient operation.
• Communicate company goals, safety practices, daily priorities, and deadlines to the team.
• Develop, train and mentor employees to develop and enhance process knowledge and skills, ensuring all employees follow the company procedures.
• Responsible for understanding and training Warehouse Associates on all functions required in warehouse procedures concerning pulling or putting away materials such, as but not limited to: utilizing reports, locating materials and completing all paperwork accurately.
• Manage inventory control and implement efficient FIFO process.
• Perform cycle counts accurately and on a timely basis.
• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including coordinating inter company transportation of materials and outbound customer shipments.
• Implement and maintain 5S standards and functionality in the warehouse.
• Assist with the organization of the warehouse and shipping areas to maximize space, improve the timely processing of customer orders, and develop lean processes to improve the organization.
• Oversee in tandem with upper management recruitment efforts and other key tasks when needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures set by any federal, state, local or company guideline.
• Any improvements that support the well-being and advancement of Mygrant Glass Company, its employees, and the community.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven leadership, team building, and communication skills 
• Live and work with a very high level of integrity 
• Ability to cultivate a culture of teamwork, customer focus, and respect 
• Keen eye for detail and safety 
• Numerous years of experience with inventory control, inventory reconciliation, and cycle counting 
• Direct involvement in developing customer service experiences and exceeding expectations 
• High level of experience with Microsoft products 
• Experience with both fleet and MHE safety and maintenance 
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Driver’s License Preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects;. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch extended periods of time during 8-10-hour work shift.
