Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Escondido, California, where collaboration and communication among colleagues are highly valued. Our team consists of two licensed physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), creating a close-knit working community focused on delivering exceptional care. The onsite environment allows for hands-on patient interaction and immediate access to resources and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' needs and preferences to establish achievable goals and customize rehabilitation plans.
• Manage a steady caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring quality interaction and personalized therapy sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to implement therapeutic interventions that optimize patients' physical performance and functionality.
• Educate and motivate patients to engage in their treatment plans and lifestyle modifications that support recovery.
• Design and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient goals, focusing on enhancing physical capabilities.
• Document and maintain detailed patient records utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with fellow health professionals to coordinate patient care and improve treatment outcomes.
• Monitor treatment progress, adapting plans as necessary to accommodate evolving patient needs.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by emphasizing the benefits of exercise, strength training, flexibility, and balance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse population, including active individuals seeking to regain performance levels as well as older adults aiming to improve mobility and reduce pain. Your approach will not only address physical rehabilitation but will also empower patients by educating them on prevention strategies to avert future injuries.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Maintain a valid physical therapy license in California with a clean professional record, free of any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the implementation of exercise protocols.
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with patients on a personal level to foster trust and motivation.
• Proficient in utilizing EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and record-keeping.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting. Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation techniques and a passion for patient-centered care will set you apart.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
