Contract (13–26 Week Option) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 3x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Administer and monitor vasoactive drug infusions, IV antiarrhythmic therapy, thrombolytic therapy, and anticoagulation
• Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Assist with or support procedures including defibrillation/cardioversion and thoracentesis
• Float to like units or other facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac stepdown or similar clinical setting (candidates with 1+ year of recent relevant experience may be considered)
• Willingness and ability to float to other units or campuses as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients receiving vasoactive infusions and antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Familiarity with thrombolytic therapy protocols and cardiac monitoring in a progressive care or stepdown environment
• Prior travel nursing experience
