Behavioral Health Technician

Behavioral Health Technician (Part Time) Location: Wilkes Barre, PA Overview Our Intensive Behavioral Health Services program is searching for a part-time variable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team in the Wilkes Barre area. The ideal candidate will thrive in environments where no two days are the same and have a passion for helping children grow to their fullest potential. Responsibilities Implementation of treatment plans, collection of daily data, and completion of daily documentation for assigned youth in home, school, and community settings. Monitoring the youth's activities and intervening as needed using evidence‑based interventions for behavior management and crisis intervention to transfer skills to the youth and caregiver(s). Work collaboratively with the treatment team members to ensure the treatment plan is meeting the youth's needs. Provide 1:1 support and interventions when required including behavior modification techniques and crisis interventions as outlined in the treatment plan. Support caregivers in their efforts to stabilize the child by providing information, guidance, and modeling of intervention techniques. Assist in the management of behavioral escalation by using de‑escalation and behavior management techniques taught by the master's clinician and/or supervisor. Work in traditional as well as non‑traditional settings such as home, school, daycare, community to meet the needs of the child. Effectively document daily progress and relay information to team members, supervisors, and other staff as required. Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. Participate in individual and/or group supervision as required. Qualifications Education and Experience BHT I: High school diploma or equivalent AND completion of a 40‑hour training covering the RBT task list (training is provided) OR two (2) years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services. BHT II: Associate degree AND completion of a 40‑hour training covering the RBT task list (training is provided) OR two (2) years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services. BHT III: Bachelor's degree AND completion of a 40‑hour training covering the RBT task list (training is provided) OR two (2) years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
