About the Position

Job Title: RN - Diagnostic Cardiology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Diagnostic Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:45 am - 4:45 pm, 1-hour lunch) Experience: Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: TEEs, stress testing, EKG interpretation, IV management, cardioversion, mild sedation experience, infusion Description: RN position in Diagnostic Cardiology. The facility has 885 licensed beds and is a teaching hospital. The department provides advanced cardiac diagnostics, including various echocardiogram techniques and stress testing. The average daily patient census includes 110 comprehensive studies across all areas. Typical procedures performed include heart failure evaluations, renal transplant evaluations, and various stress echo studies. A dedicated cardiac ultrasound educator and chief sonographer are available for support. The department emphasizes a patient and family-focused culture with a commitment to high-quality, fast-paced care. Team members work in a balanced environment between portable and in-lab studies. Scrub colors include Barney purple for tops and black for pants or skirts. Warm-up jackets can be either the same purple or black.
