Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic treatment, as well as physician assistance, to patients in a critical care environment. The role involves patient and family education, documentation, and effective communication with caregivers. The RRT will be required to identify significant changes in patient conditions and act accordingly, while performing pain assessments according to established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments to patients.
• Educate patients and families based on their specific needs.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and communications accurately.
• Perform regular pain assessments and take necessary actions.
• Manage respiratory equipment: disassemble, clean, assemble, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safe transport of infants to and from referral health systems.
• Complete all required documentation and reports in accordance with standard procedures.
• Assist in patient charge processing and verification of reports as needed.
• Actively participate in collaborative care with the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Respiratory Therapist license from the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from RQI Partners.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift (3x12) schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
