Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a dependable Shop Hand to support daily operations at a busy industrial facility in Houma, LA. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has forklift experience, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily shop operations, including organizing materials, equipment, and work areas.
  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop and yard.
  • Support mechanics and shop personnel with equipment maintenance, repairs, and general shop tasks.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Receive, stage, and organize incoming materials and inventory.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous forklift operating experience required.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and perform general shop duties.
