Licensed Therapist / Counselor

Job Description

The Licensed Therapist/Counselor will provide individual therapy services in a private practice setting. This role focuses on assessing, planning, and implementing effective treatment strategies tailored to the needs of each client while maintaining thorough progress documentation. DCBHS accepts both self-pay and insured clients.

Responsibilities

Conduct individual therapy sessions
Perform psychological assessments to inform treatment planning
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
Document client progress and maintain accurate records

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP)
Must carry active professional liability insurance.
Ability to work independently as an independent contractor while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams dedicated to mental health care excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years experience in a clinical setting
Demonstrates empathy and active listening skills
Strong communication abilities
Knowledgeable in a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as CBT and DBT.
Proficient in documentation and record keeping
