NDT Technician

Position Summary:- X-Ray Industries, an Applus+ Laboratories company, is seeking an entry-level NDT Technician Trainee for a 2nd shift role in Zeeland, MI. Working within an indoor aerospace testing facility, the candidate will work alongside certified technicians to learn non-destructive testing methodologies, execute basic setups, manage documentation, and build qualifications toward multi-method NDT certification. Responsibilities:- Assist certified NDT technicians with daily project execution, equipment setup, and component inspection workflows. Learn and apply company, industry, and aerospace customer specifications for product compliance. Prepare and maintain required test documentation, client paperwork, and technical records accurately. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, manage inventory, and replenish inspection supplies as needed. Set up work area perimeters and safety boundaries to restrict unauthorized access during testing operations. Follow and enforce all standard operating procedures, safety rules, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines. QualificationsRequirements:- High School Diploma or GED (physical documentation required at hire). Valid State ID. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available). Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and hands-on mechanical interest. Ability to work 2nd shift. Preferred Qualifications:- Keen interest in pursuing a career within the aerospace non-destructive testing industry.
