SharePoint Database Manager

Executive Summary We are seeking a Database Manager III with Secret Clearance for a role at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA. The Senior Database Manager will work in the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) which focuses on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. This individual will provide administration, development, and compliance support for SharePoint Online environments across both NIPRNet and SIPRNet, ensuring collaboration tools are secure, optimized, and fully compliant with Air Force and Federal mandates. The ideal candidate will have an active Secret Security Clearance, extensive experience administering and securing SharePoint environments across NIPRNet and SIPRNet, and a proven ability to support records management, privacy compliance, and information governance within DoD frameworks. Responsibilities Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments across NIPRNet and SIPRNet, ensuring performance, security, and availability. Troubleshoot site outages and performance issues, escalating as needed and coordinating resolution. Design, develop, and implement tailored SharePoint solutions to optimize collaboration and workflows. Advise Program Managers on site architecture and integrations; oversee site configurations and migrations. Lead migrations from legacy SharePoint environments to Microsoft 365 cloud. Integrate Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) into SharePoint and Teams sites. Manage user permissions, access controls, and enforce security best practices. Scan monthly site collections for PII; lock down or remove sensitive content as needed and report per AFI 33?332. Act as Records Management (RM) point of contact for assigned units; ensure proper cutoff, transfer, and disposal of official records. Support Privacy Act and FOIA compliance, including training, reporting, and breach management. Provide e‑discovery and forensic retrieval support for congressional or litigation needs. Deliver training and expert guidance on SharePoint best practices, security, and automation. Coordinate with HQ AFMC and Base SharePoint Program Offices to resolve technical issues. Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, and 12 years of relevant experience (including 5 years in the DoD), OR 15 years of directly related experience (including 8 years in the DoD) Experience with SharePoint content migration tools Proven expertise in SharePoint Online administration across NIPRNet and SIPRNet Strong understanding of Air Force and Federal RM and Privacy Act compliance requirements Ability to train and guide personnel on SharePoint, privacy, and records management best practices Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr MDAEdge
