Job Description

As a caregiver, you’ll be a vital part of our clients’ lives—providing not just care, but comfort, companionship, and peace of mind.

Responsibilities

Caregivers at Amada Senior Care Elgin/Rockford assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. They provide emotional support and meaningful companionship, support mobility including gait belt assistance and sit-to-stand transfers, perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe home environment, and build trusting relationships with clients and their families.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with proven hands-on experience providing compassionate and attentive care to those in need, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Preferred candidates will have experience in senior care and a compassionate, service-oriented mindset. Applicants must be able to assist with physical tasks and lifting, and familiarity with memory care is a plus. Strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and reliable personal transportation are required to ensure punctuality and flexibility in meeting client needs across various locations. Candidates must be 21 years or older and able to pass a background check.

Location 

This position requires in-person work in the surrounding Elgin areas including Carpentersville, West Dundee, East Dundee, South Elgin, Hampshire, Pingree Grove, Burlington, Campton Hills, Riley, Genoa, Sycamore, DeKalb Rockford and more... Applicants must be able to commute or relocate before starting.

Schedule

We offer day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
