Associate Director of Alumni Engagement

Position Summary
The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement is a leadership position within Bryan College’s Advancement team and plays a vital role in advancing the College’s mission of “Christ Above All.” This individual will help cultivate lifelong relationships with Bryan alumni while leading engagement initiatives for younger generations of graduates and assisting in the development of future alumni programs.
Working alongside the Director of Alumni Engagement, the Associate Director will serve as a visible ambassador for Bryan College, building meaningful relationships with alumni, planning and executing signature events, encouraging philanthropic support, and helping alumni remain connected to the life and mission of the College.
This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth and leadership development. The successful candidate will gradually assume increasing responsibility for alumni engagement initiatives and play an integral role in shaping the future of Bryan’s alumni program.
Because authentic relationships are central to this position, strong preference will be given to Bryan College alumni who understand and appreciate the unique culture, traditions, and Christ-centered mission that define the Bryan experience.
Reports to: Director of Alumni Engagement
Duties
Alumni Relationship Management
Serve as a primary relationship manager for younger generations of Bryan alumni, developing meaningful, lifelong connections that encourage engagement, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
Represent Bryan College through alumni visits, regional gatherings, campus events, phone calls, correspondence, and personal outreach.
Partner with the Director to develop strategies that strengthen alumni engagement across all generations.
Identify emerging alumni leaders and volunteers who can serve Bryan College through mentoring, networking, recruitment, and philanthropy.
Alumni Events & Programs
Take an active leadership role in planning and executing Bryan’s signature alumni events, including:
Homecoming
Golden Grads
Regional alumni gatherings
Student-to-alumni transition programs
Special alumni recognition events
Develop new programming specifically designed to engage recent graduates and younger alumni.
Assist in creating long-term strategic plans for alumni engagement initiatives.
Alumni Communications
Help develop compelling communications that celebrate Bryan alumni and strengthen connections with the College.

Video and digital communications
Maintain consistent and meaningful communication with alumni through multiple channels.
Alumni Giving & Development
Partner with the Development team to cultivate and steward alumni donors.
Assist with:
Annual Giving initiatives
Donor cultivation
Stewardship
Fundraising events
Alumni participation strategies
Help identify alumni with leadership and philanthropic potential.
Student & Young Alumni Engagement
Lead initiatives that help students transition successfully into active alumni following graduation.
Develop programs that connect current students with alumni mentors and encourage lifelong engagement with Bryan College.
Serve as an advocate for recent graduates and help strengthen relationships during the critical years immediately following graduation.
Data & Strategic Planning
Maintain accurate alumni records and engagement information.
Analyze alumni participation and donor trends to help shape future engagement strategies.
Assist with reports, budgeting, assessment, and strategic planning.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Director of Alumni Engagement to advance the vision of Bryan’s alumni program.
Provide leadership for assigned projects, events, student workers, and volunteers.
Contribute ideas and initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement across the College.
Support a work environment that reflects Bryan College’s Statement of Faith and Community Life Standards.
Desired Qualities
A vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and wholehearted agreement with Bryan College’s Statement of Belief and Community Life Standards.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Bryan College graduate strongly preferred.
Passion for Christian higher education and a genuine love for Bryan College and its alumni.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build authentic, lasting relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Experience with event planning, fundraising, alumni relations, communications, or higher education is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM software, social media platforms, and digital communication tools.
