Staff Software Engineer, Gaming AI

This is new and challenging work at the center of Unity's AI direction.What you'll be doingDesigning and delivering cloud-based services and cloud features for the next generation game creation platformBuilding front-end features as part of performant full-stack systemsOptimizing cloud services for scalability and performanceApplying cloud service design patterns and architecture experience to cloud applicationsUsing agentic AI tools (such as Claude Code) as a core part of your daily engineering workDevOps work: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, database maintenance. Driving technical direction within the team and building alignment with leadershipCollaborating with the AI, infrastructure, and data teamsWhat we're looking forFamiliar with GCP services, optionally familiar with Azure. Familiar with K8s / KCLStrong interest in game development with AIExperience delivering scalable cloud services and cloud-based featuresUnderstanding of cloud service design patterns and architecture experience with cloud applicationsExperience designing performant full-stack systems, including frontend / cloud services / devopsExpertise in using AI developer tools (such as Claude Code) in your daily work, and a dedication to building your career path with these toolsAbility to drive technical direction within a team and align with leadership on strategic visionYou might also haveGame development experience, or a passion for gamingKnowledge of cloud infrastructureGross Annual Salary: $200,400 - $260,500This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions).
