Our client , a leader in Financial and Tax Software, is looking for someone to join their team as a Tax Analyst. This role is in San Diego, California.

*This is a 5 month W2 contract*

In this role, you will maintain and support existing tax programs and related products, ensuring offerings remain compliant with all applicable federal and state taxing agency regulations, codes, and guidelines.

What You Will Be Doing

• Research, analyze, and interpret tax legislation, codes, regulations, forms, and instructions to inform product updates and development.
• Apply standard procedures to implement moderate changes to tax products through code and internal software tools.
• Assist with unit testing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and prevent unintended changes during the annual update cycle.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables within sprint timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Certification in tax-related field highly desirable – Enrolled Agent and/or CPA is preferred
• Must be very familiar with business tax forms: 1120, 1120S, 1065 and 1041
