Regional Systems Administrator

Regional Systems Administrator Provide end-user desktop support to WIC Overseas office staff and serve as an information systems coordinator and liaison with the host facilities, IT Departments. Install and maintain tracking of hardware and software assets in compliance with program and host facility policies, provide or facilitate end-user Information Technology training as needed, coordinate with host facility IT personnel to resolve networking issues, log and respond to service calls from WIC Overseas offices and program management. Provide routine updates and reports to the Director, IM/IT. This government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen to qualify. This position requires a Common Access Card (CAC), the ability to pass the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC). Must deploy to Ramstein, Germany, where work is performed on-site. For qualified candidates, relocation services and compensation will be offered. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range for Systems Administrator: $80,000 - $80,900 Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Responsibilities Provides general hardware, software, and desktop support for end-users. Provides network and server support and maintenance as needed. Maintains a tracking log of support and service calls and monitor for trends. Maintains IT resource inventory control documentation. Accounts for electronic office equipment (printer, fax, copier). Coordinates with each host facility IT department to ensure compliance with local and departmental policies and procedures. Provides continuous end-user training with regard to IT security, appropriate use of resources and back up procedures. Ensures end-users maintain current information assurance certifications required by program and host facility. Provides daily reports of significant events or trouble calls to the Director, IM/IT. Provides monthly categorized report of processed trouble calls. Maintains a clean, safe, and functional work area. Serves as Information Assurance Manager for theater/region of assignment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associates degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field and at least three years of current work history supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems and network connectivity issues. Experience working with WIC Overseas is a plus. Must have current Security+ CE certification or equivalent or higher. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Good communication skills, recordkeeping skills, ability to work independently and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks. May require travel by Privately Owned Vehicle (POV). Current acceptable driver’s license, e.g., USAREUR/International and personal vehicle for use in carrying out required duties. Personal auto liability insurance is mandatory. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Firm understanding of systems administration, networking concepts and technologies. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (installation, use and troubleshooting). Background in database application use/development/support a plus. Additional certifications may be required to obtain administrative/elevated privileges on host facility networks. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
