Any of the following can qualify an individual for higher pay: shop experience, heavy-duty truck experience, AC certification, CDL, engine certification(s), formal education, etc.Quality and cost-effective insurance options: health, dental, vision-, life-, short- and long-term disability,401k match, paid vacation, paid sick time, PTO days, paid holidays.Ongoing OEM training.Many opportunities for growth and advancement.Responsibilities:Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.Overhaul and repair heavy duty engines, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and power systems, cooling systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, or any other system used on medium and heavy-duty trucks.Install engines, transmissions, and other components.Perform preventative maintenance.Submit complete technical reports and documentation as required by manufacturers in all components on all makes of trucks and trailers.Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.Rewire electrical or electronic systems.Align equipment or machinery.Repair non-engine automotive or vehicle components.Install vehicle parts or accessories.Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.Complies with safety and EPA regulations as well as internal controls.Completes all work orders in a timely manner, ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate work order line and comments are entered; understands reason and task codes and signs and checks parts order form.Tags all warranty parts with appropriate information.Other duties as assignedSkills and Requirements:High School diploma/GED equivalenceDiesel mechanic 0-5 years' experienceStrong diagnostic aptitudeValid driver's licenseCDL license or ability to obtain oneCommunication skillsTeamworkDependable and reliable attendanceOwning your own hand tools is a plusEagerness to learnProfessionalismBasic computer skillsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs.Schedule:2nd Shift - 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - FridayJob Type: Full- timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offWork Location: In-personPay Range $20-$45/hourBased on experienceFinal confirmation of any job offer will be contingent upon you undergoing a pre-employment drug screening.
