Member of Technical Staff — Engineering | Robotics + Foundation Models I’m working with an exceptionally well-funded, early-stage robotics company building general-purpose robots for real-world labor automation . They’re tackling one of the hardest problems in robotics: moving beyond impressive demos to robots that can generalize, operate reliably in production, and continuously improve from real-world deployment. The team is currently: Pretraining a world model on 15PB+ of video & expert demonstration data Designing the hardware those models run on Deploying into industrial environments requiring 99%+ uptime and sub-15-second takt times Building a continuous-learning loop where production robot data feeds directly back into training They’ve already raised $23M from top-tier investors , with a team coming from OpenAI, xAI, Ramp, Mercor, Founders Fund, Citadel, Jane Street, Huawei, Zoox + more. They’re now hiring Member of Technical Staff-level engineers across three core areas: Generalist Engineering — infrastructure, internal tooling, research experiments, core systems ML / Infrastructure — petabyte-scale data, GPU clusters, distributed training, compute, orchestration & continuous learning Robot Systems — real-time systems, controls, embedded software, hardware bring-up & deployed robotic systems This is NOT a role where you’ll own one narrow piece of the stack.
