Role Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Wichita, KS. The LPN will provide direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications, performing injections, and assisting with diabetes and endocrine-related procedures under appropriate supervision. Daily responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, documenting patient information accurately in the electronic health record, and reinforcing provider instructions regarding medication, diet, glucose monitoring, and lifestyle changes. The role involves coordinating with physicians and other clinical staff, managing patient phone calls and messages, and supporting scheduling and follow-up activities to ensure continuity of care. The LPN will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment while promoting a respectful and supportive experience for all patients. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas and completion of an accredited practical nursing program. Clinical skills in administering medications, performing injections, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with endocrinology and diabetes-related procedures. Proficiency in documenting patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining accurate, confidential medical records. Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to provide clear education on diabetes management, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, follow clinical protocols, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple patients, prioritize tasks, and support clinic workflow efficiently. Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in an outpatient medical practice setting.
