Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber Power Services seeks a professional, dedicated individual with a positive outlook for our Technician opening in Mobile, AL.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist and perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear included (but not limited to) the following:
  1. Protective relaying and relaying systems
  2. Circuit Breakers
  3. Power Transformers
  4. Current and Potential Transformers
  5. Meters, Transducers, and Power system metering
  6. Power Cables
  7. Grounding Systems
  8. Motors and Motor Starters
  9. Station Batteries and Chargers
  10. Alarm systems and Annunciators
  11. Personal Protective Equipment
• Always make safety a top priority, realizing that the company has Zero Tolerance for those who do otherwise

• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in the high voltage industry
• 0-4 years' experience in the high voltage industry

• Skills:

1. Good mathematical skills required
2. Good communication skills required
3. Computer literate in MS Office suite
4. Ability to travel 50% required
5. Power DB knowledge a plus
6. Valid driver's license
