This role plays a key part in helping people with serious mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emotional disturbance, and substance use disorders access the services they need to live as independently as possible.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments and develop person‑centered service plansCoordinate care and link individuals to appropriate supportsMonitor progress and adjust services as neededProvide crisis intervention and participate in an on‑call rotationCollaborate with families, schools, jails, and community partnersSupport individuals in the least restrictive, most integrated settingsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or NursingState registration as an RN or LBSW (or eligibility to obtain)Minimum of one year of experience in mental health or nursingLived experience related to mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use valuedStrong communication skills and functional computer literacy (within 6 months of hire)Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordPreferred AttributesCompassionate and team‑orientedSkilled in building professional relationshipsCommitted to person‑centered practices and continuous learningFlexible, collaborative, and mission‑drivenAbout UsSince 1968, NeMCMHA has served Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, and Montmorency counties with nearly 400 staff across 17 accredited programs.
