Plante Moran Group Benefits Advisors II (PMGBA II), an affiliate entity of Plante & Moran, PLLC (PM), provides consulting and brokerage services to help clients create sustainable employee health and welfare benefit plans that are cost effective and help clients attract and retain talent.

Your role.

As an Analyst, you'll help employers design and manage sustainable health and welfare benefit programs through data-driven consulting. Working alongside experienced consultants, you'll analyze healthcare and benefits data, develop cost projections, identify trends and opportunities, and help translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for clients.

This role offers hands-on experience combining analytics, problem-solving, and client communication, with opportunities to contribute directly to client engagements from day one.

You’ll work on projects and engagements that directly affect our clients. Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Analyze healthcare, pharmacy, and benefits data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop cost projections, benchmarking analyses, and financial models for employer-sponsored benefit plans.
• Translate data insights into actionable recommendations that support cost management and employee engagement strategies.
• Collect, validate, and maintain carrier and vendor data used in client analyses.
• Assist with vendor evaluations, pricing reviews, and client deliverables.
• Prepare and present reports, analyses, and recommendations to internal teams and clients.

The qualifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Human Resources or a related field.
• Academic success (a minimum major GPA of 3.0)
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical skills in the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Interest in healthcare, employee benefits, and data-driven consulting.

This is an exempt position that may require some local or national travel.

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00
