Lunds & Byerlys Lake Mills is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Maintenance Technician ! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $24.00-$26.00/hour.

We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year . For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday.

This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine types of preventive and ongoing maintenance (this includes repairs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or machine servicing).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following description of work to be performed by this team member is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.

• Follow appropriate equipment/tool repair and maintenance guidelines to assure product quality, availability and freshness according to department standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment repair issues and consult with outside vendors or internal staff to ensure problem resolution.
• Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Perform equipment and building preventative maintenance following established schedule.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring workspace and storage areas are free from debris and clutter.

OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)

1. Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education
   1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent
   2. Desired: Completion of two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge
2. Experience:
   1. One or more years' experience with packaging and food manufacturing equipment and repairs
   2. Solid mechanical, electrical, and repair troubleshooting abilities and skills, including PLC

4. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

   4. Ability to comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices
   5. Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
   6. Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
   7. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
