T&E Marietta Test Engineering Manager

Responsibilities The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Marietta Test Engineering manager leads and organizes the Flight Test Discipline Engineer (FTDE) elements for all Marietta Test & Evaluation programs, including test planning, execution, data analysis and reporting of lab and aircraft testing. The manager is also responsible for the schedule and budget performance of the Test Engineering team, including EVMS utilization. Must have advanced interpersonal skills to collaborate across the LM Aero T&E team, manage, coach, develop and motivate the Marietta Test Engineering team, and collaborate with program management, site leadership, and other T&E leadership teams. The manager ensures all Marietta program requirements are supported for successful execution. This individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and calmly interact with internal organizations, USG customers, and international customers to develop and execute a successful test program. Experience transforming contractual requirements, Military Standards, and airworthiness criteria into test requirements is required. The manager must also develop detailed test procedures beyond contractual requirements to ensure a quality and safe product. Must be extremely organized, reliable, and able to multi-task in a high-octane, dynamic flight-test environment. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college Demonstrated leadership experience Experience with aircraft test planning, execution, data analysis and reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to brief program leadership and customers Experience transforming contractual requirements, Military Standards and airworthiness criteria into test requirements Control Account Manager (CAM) / Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills Desired Skills Experience with Air Mobility and Maritime Mission (AMMM) program and aircraft (C-130, C-5 and P-3) Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters and solutions with senior leadership Personality and demeanor to handle a highly dynamic flight-test environment with changing dates and priorities Demonstrated corrective action and problem-solving skills Familiarity and knowledge of aircraft avionic and mechanical systems Self-motivated and able to work with minimal management oversight Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance and US citizenship.
