Location: Corvallis, OR, 97330
Duration: 2 months contract with possible extensions
Shift Timing: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM; 4 days/week
Work Setting: Hospital/Clinical Imaging Department
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our imaging team in Corvallis, OR. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in CT imaging, IV administration, and patient care, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans following established protocols and physician orders
- Accurately start IV lines, maintain intravenous access, and safely administer contrast agents
- Assess patients for risk factors prior to IV contrast administration
- Ensure a safe and compliant scanning environment at all times
- Review and protocol all imaging orders prior to scheduling
- Operate CT imaging equipment using Siemens Syngo.via software
- Utilize multiple systems including PACS (Merge & Philips), RIS, and EMR for documentation and workflow
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and care teams regarding imaging results and concerns
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient records
- Identify and escalate any clinical or technical concerns to appropriate providers
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Active ARRT (R)(CT) certification
- OBMI Radiographer License (Oregon)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers
- Strong competency in CT imaging protocols and IV administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced IV skills and contrast administration expertise
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience with multi-system workflows (PACS, RIS, EMR)
Work Environment
- On-site role at a single facility (no travel between locations)
- Patient care performed in a clinical/hospital imaging setting (not home-based)
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Any color allowed, provided prints are professional and work-appropriate
