Credentialed MA Coordinator for GI in SW Portland Full‑time position in the Gastroenterology West Clinic, Southwest Portland. Responsible for coordinating patient care, assisting with procedures, and maintaining clinic workflow. Location: GI West Clinic – Endo, 9701 SW Barnes Rd. Ste. 300, Portland, OR 97225 Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, four 10‑hour shifts with one day off; 6:45 am – 5:15 pm (shift details TBD). Compensation: $31.84 – $43.08 per hour, based on experience and credentials. Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert and resource regarding workflows, policies, and procedures; train new and existing staff. Assist the supervisor or manager with department‑specific projects and team building. Coordinate daily rooming assignments and coverage assistance throughout the day. Perform triage duties within the scope of certification. Provide initial patient care: prepare patients for examinations, take vitals, and document relevant medical information. Maintain a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment. Utilize EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results, and manage patient files. Assist with procedures and perform specialty‑related tests or monitoring. May also perform scheduling duties as needed. Assist with overall delivery of patient care in the department. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Medical Assistant; specialty GI experience is preferred. Certification through a national agency such as AAMA or NCCT (required). Current CPR/BLS certification within 60 days of hire; ACLS may be required by specialty. Prior EMR Epic experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and multitask. Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive attitude and team‑player mindset.
