Construction Estimator

Highland Consulting Group, a nationwide recruiting firm specializing in construction talent placement within the commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors, is seeking an experienced Estimator for a General Contractor in the Harrisburg, PA area.


This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with at least 3 years of general construction estimating experience who is looking to contribute to a growing and dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Chief Estimator in securing new projects.
• Develop master budgets and cost models across all Construction/CSI Divisions.
• Provide hard bid and conceptual estimates for projects.
• Independently estimate change orders and ensure timely communication with the Chief Estimator.
• Maintain and develop cost databases to enhance estimating accuracy.
• Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an Estimator for a General Contractor on projects exceeding $2M.
• Experience preparing conceptual and hard bids for Design/Build projects.
• Strong understanding of pre-construction processes, including quantity surveying and value engineering.
• Ability to develop budgets and timelines effectively.
• Proficiency in estimating software and general computer skills.
• A four-year degree in construction or related field is preferred but not required.
