The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. This role involves collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: conducting assessments and reassessments, creating personalized care plans, administering medications, maintaining documentation, educating patients, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs.

• Conduct patient rounds to enhance satisfaction and uphold quality standards.

• Exhibit knowledge of human growth and development, assessment techniques, treatment options, and care tailored to the age groups of patients served.

• Encourage customer service initiatives.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care that meets patient needs.

• Demonstrate proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.

• At least 1 year of experience in medical/surgical nursing.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.

• Current licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or an equivalent board.

• Current BLS certification.

• Commitment to pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within one year of hire.
