Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with multi-specialty experience including robotics for a hospital surgical services unit.

Job Details

• Hospital surgical services unit supporting multiple specialties,
• Experience required with hysterectomy, GYN, total joints, general, bariatric, Davinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics procedures,
• Patient population spans neonate through geriatric,
• 12-hour day shifts, 630a-7p, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly,
• No weekend shifts required,
• On-call requirement up to 40 hours on a 6-week rotating schedule,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required,
• BLS certification required,
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required,
• License required if applicable,
• High School Diploma or GED required,
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the metric system,
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and professional standards of practice,
• Ability to respond immediately during urgent or emergency situations,
• Strong prioritization, planning, and problem-solving skills,

Additional Information

• Assist the surgical team during the intra-operative period across a variety of specialties,
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment,
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure,
• Apply knowledge of patient age and needs across the neonate to geriatric population,
• Demonstrate aseptic technique to support positive patient outcomes,
• Adapt to changing surgical situations with effective prioritization and problem-solving
