Door Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Job Title: Door Maintenance Technician III (1st Shift) Location: Peoria, IL Duration: 6 Months Temp to Perm Pay: $22 $25/hr (W-2) Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30 AM 2:30 PM (Mon Fri; may vary, OT/weekends required) Overview: Advanced-level technician responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial doors and related systems in a large industrial/clean room environment. Requires strong problem-solving, time management, and ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair overhead doors, roll-up doors, gates, and dock plates Replace components (motors, bearings, sheaves, shafts, etc.) Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, etc.) Identify and report safety/compliance issues Follow safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, hazard analysis) Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and computer systems Communicate work order status and ensure compliance with standards Recommend maintenance improvements and resolve technical issues Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent 3 years maintenance experience (Industrial HVAC, Mechanical repair, or Automotive) or equivalent Door Maintenance Technician
