Our 60-minute adult recall appointments and no accelerated hygiene model allow you to slow down, educate patients, build trust, and provide the level of care you were trained to deliver. Our practice primarily serves an established community seeking comprehensive, personalized dentistry, with a payer mix that leans more toward fee-for-service and PPO care rather than heavy insurance participation. You’ll collaborate with experienced dentists and team members in an environment where hygienists are respected as an essential part of the clinical team. Your Role as a Dental HygienistProvide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling and root planing, and fluoride treatmentsConduct periodontal assessments and maintain accurate periodontal chartingCapture and interpret diagnostic-quality digital radiographsEducate patients on oral health, periodontal health, and individualized preventive careConduct head, neck, and oral cancer screeningsIdentify periodontal and restorative concerns and communicate findings with the dentistBuild lasting relationships with patients through education, trust, and consistencyCollaborate with doctors and clinical team members to provide comprehensive careMaintain accurate digital patient records and uphold OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards What We’re Looking ForAssociate degree or higher from an accredited dental hygiene programActive Massachusetts Dental Hygienist licenseCurrent CPR certificationLocal anesthesia certification required or willingness to obtain1+ year of dental hygiene experience preferred, although motivated new graduates are encouraged to applyStrong clinical judgment and patient education skillsWarm, professional communication styleCommitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care and long-term patient relationships About Newton Centre Dental Newton Centre Dental is an established six-operatory, multi-specialty practice that has served Newton and surrounding communities for more than 20 years.
