Senior Bartender

Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a bartender to join the food and beverage service department. The bartender serves as the team leader for the bar staff and leads by example in excellent customer service, extensive knowledge of food and beverage pairings, and flawless beverage creation. The senior bartender partners with food and beverage leadership to oversee efficient operations of bar locations and is part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key responsibilities include overseeing bar staff to ensure exceptional service and communication at all times with members/guests and team members, greeting all guests and members politely and promptly, partnering with food and beverage and culinary leadership to create beverage pairings and outstanding experiences for members and guests, supervising and training bar staff on SOPs of the bar operation, overseeing bar inventories and supplies, executing exceptional craft cocktails, presenting extensive knowledge of all beverages and ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and organization of bar and bar storage areas, and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, proven leadership skills in food and beverage operations at a high-end or luxury resort, restaurant, or private club, two to three years of previous bartending experience, knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards, robust knowledge of wines and beverages, a passion for trends within the liquor community, extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service, a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members, the ability to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, the ability to work in a team environment, the ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times, the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty pounds.
