Janel Group Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Houston, TXPay Rate: $20–$22 per hourSchedule: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM OR 7:30 AM-4:30 PMWork-from-Home Flexibility: One day per week, once fully trained.Testing Requirement: Candidates must be able to successfully complete an advanced Excel assessment, including formulas and pivot tables.Job Description:Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:Handle A/P transactions and payments for domestic vendors and international agents reconciling statements while ensuring proper approvals, verification of charges and ensuring payments are made within agreed termsHelp automate processes and streamline procedures; eliminating repetitive or manual stepsTracking and posting invoicesResearching and resolving discrepancies, questions, and concerns from vendors, agents, and partners while keeping confidentiality where applicableCapably and confidently identify, prioritize and resolve service challenges, while managing a full workload in a fast-paced environmentPosition Requirements:1+ years' of accounts payableExperience with excel knowledge, including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.Freight and logistics industry experience is a plus but not requiredAccurate data entry skillsAbility to learn and master our Accounting and Operations ERP system (CargoWise)Janel Group is an equal opportunity employer.
