Forklift Operator (MS COL)

Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience.
Monday- Friday ( Saturday as needed)
6:30 am to 5:30 pm

Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate shipping and receiving of products.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist in materials handling and organization within the warehouse, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Support heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations during all operations.
- Participate in training sessions for new equipment or procedures as required.
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes, is essential.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in order picking roles is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to following safety protocols at all times.
