An established property restoration company operating across 10 states is hiring an experienced mitigation technician to lead a crew in New York.

This is field work. You are in the building the day the loss happens, usually before the insurance adjuster gets there. We are looking for someone who has already done this work and is ready to run the job, not learn it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Lead a mitigation crew on residential and commercial losses.
2. Schedule and dispatch your crew across active jobs.
3. Respond to emergency water and fire losses.
4. Extract water, set containment, and protect unaffected areas.
5. Direct demo of affected materials: drywall, flooring, trim, insulation, cabinetry.
6. Set and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers.
7. Take moisture readings and keep the drying log accurate.
8. Photograph and document each room before, during, and after.
9. Perform mold and biohazard work in full PPE.
10. Track equipment, keep the truck stocked, and account for what leaves the shop.
11. Work an on-call rotation. Losses do not wait for business hours.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

1. Real history in the field. Three or more years in water or fire mitigation, restoration, or remediation.
2. Experience running a crew. You have directed other technicians on a job site and been responsible for the result.
3. Scheduling ability. You can sequence multiple active jobs, move people between them, and keep the day from falling apart.
4. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Required, no exceptions. You will be driving a company vehicle.
5. Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, climb ladders, and work in attics and crawl spaces.
6. Comfortable working in a respirator and full PPE.
7. Able to pass a background check.
8. Reliable and on time, with a phone you answer.

A STRONG PLUS

1. IICRC certification: WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT.
2. Experience on insurance carrier jobs.
3. CompanyCam, Encircle, or Xactimate familiarity.
4. Bilingual English and Spanish.
5. Construction or trade background alongside the restoration work.
