Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, respecting patient rights and dignity while operating within the LPN scope of practice.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document accurately in the patient record.
- Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage IV therapy per facility policy; promptly report changes to the supervising clinician.
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other members of the health care team to develop and implement individualized care plans; participate in rounds and handoffs.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort through infection control, fall prevention, pain management, and rehabilitation support as appropriate.
- Complete required documentation and uphold competency standards; participate in orienting activities and ongoing training as assigned.

Requirements
- Current Alaska LPN license in good standing
- CPR certification (BCLS) and current BLS
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; able to collaborate with a diverse health care team
- Minimum education: graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program
- Experience: new graduates accepted; 1 year of hospital or long-term care experience preferred
- Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination is required for travel assignments
- Ability to work in a hospital-leaning setting with day shift responsibilities
