Medical Office Associate I: Full-Time Days, M-F with two evenings/wk, Atlantic Rehab Paramus

Job Description

Atlantic Health is seeking for a reliable, motivated and team-oriented individual to join our outpatient rehabilitation site located in Paramus, NJ. This is a full time and benefited position that includes Medical, Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement, among other perks at Atlantic Health. The Medical Office Associate position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients by providing efficient front desk operations, exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clinical team. Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in a physician office setting.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Completes check-in processes
2. Assists patients with appointment scheduling adhering to rehab guidelines
3. Runs appointment estimates and collects co-pays and up-front balances
4. Monitors online appointment portal and responds to patient requests
5. Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing
6. Manages departmental phone lines
7. Makes confirmation calls
8. Orders office supplies, business cards
9. Delivers excellent customer service
10. Provides administrative support to clinical and management team members
11. Completes and adheres to all AH and AR role specific mandatory trainings, guidelines and policies
12. Reports facility issues
13. Assists with insurance responsibilities
14. Maintains proper and timely communication with team members and leadership team
15. Performs other administrative tasks as needed
16. Assists with training new team members

Qualifications

Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience
2. Prior administrative experience in a health care facility or customer service experience is strongly preferred

Preferred:
1. EPIC knowledge
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

About the Team

Atlantic Rehabilitation offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology, wound care management and more. All of which are provided by a highly trained staff comprised of physiatrists; internists; physician assistants; nurse practitioners; rehabilitation nurses; physical, occupational, and recreational therapists; speech-language pathologists; social workers; psychologists; vocational rehabilitation counselors; dieticians; audiologists; and care managers.
