Commercial HVAC Installer

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Commercial HVAC Installer in Cincinnati, OH to install HVAC equipment and systems for commercial construction and renovation projects.

Impact

• Deliver quality HVAC installations that provide comfort and efficiency for building occupants

• Support project schedules by completing mechanical installations on time and to specifications

• Reduce callbacks through proper installation techniques and attention to detail

• Contribute to team safety and success by maintaining awareness and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, split systems, and air handlers

• Run refrigerant piping, install insulation, and connect electrical controls

• Install ductwork, grilles, registers, and air distribution components

• Read and work from mechanical drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications

• Coordinate with other trades including sheet metal, plumbing, and electrical on job sequencing

• Perform leak testing, system evacuation, and refrigerant charging procedures

• Start up equipment and verify proper operation before turnover

• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition

• Follow all safety protocols and participate in daily toolbox talks

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience

• Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and installation practices

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and work from specifications

• EPA Universal or Type II certification preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on ladders and lifts

Nice-to-Haves

• OSHA 10 certification

• Experience with VRF systems, chilled water, or boiler installations

• Sheet metal fabrication skills

• Manufacturer-specific training certifications
