Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our rehabilitation center, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a structured and manageable work schedule that allows for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Postural Therapeutic Outreach Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and rehabilitation needs.
• Designing individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's health objectives and rehabilitation goals.
• Utilizing a range of evidence-based techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, to enhance recovery.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, using EMR software such as Web PT to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families, helping them understand treatment processes and encouraging adherence to recommended care plans.
• Advocating for non-surgical treatment alternatives, empowering patients with knowledge to make informed healthcare choices.
• Coordinating care with other healthcare providers to create a holistic rehabilitation approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse population of patients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Qualifications

Applicants for this role must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active and valid physical therapist license in New York State, with a clean professional record devoid of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrate a strong foundation in orthopedic manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Exhibit proficiency in electronic medical record systems, preferably Web PT, to ensure comprehensive documentation and communication.
• Maintain current knowledge of physical therapy practices via continuing education and relevant research advancements.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are considered beneficial:

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, particularly within a rehabilitation center.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 - 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
