Field Service Technician/Driver Fastenal – 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207 – TX500 Travelling Store Full-time – Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm Overview As a Full-time Field Service Technician/Driver, you will work in our regional FMI (Fastenal Managed Inventory) Technology Service Centers and customer facilities, performing installation, service, repair and removal activities associated with our industrial vending, bin systems and other FMI technology devices. You will use a company delivery vehicle to travel throughout the region performing duties. You will provide world class customer service, support and quality to the Fastenal Team and our customers. Responsibilities Travel to various Fastenal locations and customer facilities to install and service FMI technology devices Assemble, clean, recondition and test devices using work instructions Test and repair mechanical and electrical components of the devices Train customers on the use of devices and software Complete checklists to ensure all process steps are followed Communicate with the department manager and Fastenal team members Maintain a clean and safe work environment Comply with safety regulations Required Position Qualifications Possess a current full valid driver’s license issued in the country where the job is located, including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province, and meet Fastenal driving record requirements to use a company vehicle Be 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work Possess a current Health Card or have the ability to obtain one Meet Fastenal driving record requirements Maintain DOT regulated Driver Hours-of- Service Be willing to drive interstate routes across state lines Have excellent written and oral communication skills Be proficient in computer skills Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Be highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented Work independently as well as in a team environment Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities Demonstrate Fastenal's core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork Be willing to travel with overnights required Be willing to work a flexible schedule Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh up to 70lbs Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam only) Preferred Position Qualifications Mechanically inclined Possess driving experience About Us Since 1967, Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
