Full time - Days - Registered Respiratory Therapist - $7500 Sign on bonus

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gases (ABG), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy, and airway maintenance. The RRT will assess and treat both adult and neonatal patients under the indirect supervision of the department’s medical director. Location: Methodist Campus for Continuing Care, 401 W. Campbell Road, Richardson, TX 75080. Schedule Hours: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. Days: 24/7 Shift: 12 hours on / 3 days off (United States). Requirements Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Need to obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire. Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. At least 6 months of respiratory care experience. Responsibilities Perform respiratory therapeutics such as oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, incentive spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR, and mechanical ventilation. Conduct and report cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and electrocardiograms. Prepare treatment evaluations, including bedside respiratory physical assessment, patient interview, and review of the patient's medical record. Apply critical thinking skills for appropriate patient care actions. Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT results when reviewing patient data. Assemble, check, operate, and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment such as artificial airways, ventilators, oxygen analyzers, oxygen delivery devices, and blood gas analyzers. Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance tasks. Perform cleaning and maintenance of all cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas. Use appropriate customer scripting to improve patient satisfaction. Perform other duties as required.
