Dance Teacher

Theater/Dance Teacher job at The T.E.A. Center, McLean, VA. Positions for children ages 2-12 begin September 2025, part‑time, $17‑25 per hour based on experience. Position Summary The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a love for teaching children. You’ll lead engaging theater and dance enrichment classes that foster confidence, coordination, self‑expression, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Plan and teach weekly theater and/or dance classes tailored to children ages 2-12. Incorporate movement, basic choreography, dramatic play, and storytelling. Foster a supportive and inclusive space for children to express themselves. Prepare short performances or showcases as appropriate. Collaborate with other enrichment teachers and center staff. Maintain a safe, organized classroom and monitor children's participation and progress. Qualifications Experience in dance, musical theater, drama, or early childhood arts education. Prior experience working with children ages 2-12 strongly preferred. Positive, energetic, and encouraging personality. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare center requirements. Bonus: Background in education, choreography, or theater production.
