The remaining needed certification will be at the expense of the department. Those applicants hired will be expected to obtain all three in order to remain on staff. Applicants must be able to perform the essential job functions of a Public Safety Officer.High School diploma/GED & 45 college hours from an accredited college or university. The written test consists of Arithmetic, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Incident Report Writing. Upon passing the written test, you will be eligible to participate in the physical agility test that immediately follows the written test. The physical agility test is a pass/fail for each section. If you fail any section of the test, you will not be allowed to continue.
