Senior Director, Software Engineering

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need formal training or certification in software engineering, along with 10+ years of applied experience.
• We need 5+ years of experience leading technologists to anticipate, manage, and solve complex technical issues within the domain.
• We need a strong track record of delivering complex, multi-team programs at scale and on schedule.
• We need experience building or leading large, cross-functional technology teams.
• We need deep expertise across the technology stack, including API design, AWS cloud services, CI/CD, container orchestration, event streaming, CDN, front-end frameworks, observability, large-scale databases, security, compliance, and QA automation.
• We need experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models, including governance, measurement, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs.
• We need a deep understanding of responsible AI risk, controls, and resiliency and security expectations at scale.
• We need experience leading complex projects that support system design, testing, and operational stability.
• We need experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• We need mastery of modern delivery methods such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban, with the ability to adapt as needed.
• We need hands-on coding experience.
• We need extensive practical cloud-native experience.
• A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• We value prior experience influencing in highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale.

• We lead multiple technology and process implementations across departments to advance firmwide technology goals.
• We directly manage several areas with a strategic transactional focus.
• We set and scale multi-department strategy for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation to improve speed, scalability, reliability, and cost-to-serve.
• We establish portfolio-level standards for AI-orchestrated delivery workflows, release governance, automated test modernization, resilience engineering, and incident response acceleration.
• We define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, traceability, and reuse.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to drive cross-domain reuse and measurable capacity gains.
• We provide leadership and high-level direction to teams while overseeing employee groups across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business.
• We act as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, building alignment across competing priorities.
• We manage multiple stakeholders, complex initiatives, and large cross-product collaborations.
• We influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
